4 nights in Taipei, scary and you get what you pay for.

I liked how it was a hotel room at a relatively affordable rate with an ensuite washroom, and the ventilation was there. The room has a TV with some channels which is a plus.

The hotel is situated on a side street, so when you exit, you have to be careful of zooming scooters while trying to enter the property. The room and building are very old and are in need of repair and renovations, and there is exposed wiring, which in places looks to be protected with masking tape. The washroom is very dirty, and the caulking of the bathtub has not been cleaned in years. The room itself has a terrible atmosphere as it's covered in peeling wallpaper and withe barebones furnishings from the 1940s. Sometime during my stay, I've seen mites and small flies in the room as well. This one is on me as I didn't look at the listing throughly enough to know that this property doesn't take credit cards, only cash. I thought to tell other travelers who are low on cash to be aware of this limitation.

The bed and pillow was clean , especially love the hevay and thick blanket in cold weather, the sound prove of the room was good , they even have a elevator to each floor so it wouldn't be a problem for people who carry a lot of luggage. The water pressure and hot bath works fine, and I had a wonderful bathtub chillax session as well, it was very convenient to just walked out the hotel with tons of local food and morning market, just a 6 to 7 mins to the Fuzhong Mrt station as well. The old husband and wife was friendly/cute..They even upgraded my room to a bigger one since she saw us carried large size luggage and stuff. And I love it with the adapter outlet just next to the mirror in room, it is so convenient for people who use hair dryer or hair electronic products.

The design for the hotel is old school but not a problem for me as I love it that way , it's just that the surrounding floors carpet abit dusty, but the room itself was better in the dust issues as it wasn't in carpet but in tiles.

Definitely pleasant experience

Very nice location near Nanya Market and Lin Garden & Mansion. The staff was very friendly and nice (especially the old lady at the reception), helpful in every situation, although they speak mainly Mandarin. The hotel is cozy thanks to them.

Room equipment is of a certain age so don’t expect much of that. Be prepared to use different plug for electricity if you come from Europe. AC at times pretty strong. Mosquitos are the main enemies there.

I would not stay here if I had another choices on new year's eve...

Personals are nice. On the day of check-out they warmly let us leave our luggage there and get it back later because we had a trip in the near and would come back then. (It was not so comfortable if we brought our luggage with us for the trip). They also provide me an extra bed cover regarding my request.

Not really clean, especially on some minor spots e.g. on the top of the mirror, it was so dirty and dusty. Bed covers have no sheets. I was concerning the hygiene...

The convenience is they allow us to keep the room key. So if were going out to eat or buy something we don't need to give it to the lobby and then get it again if we comeback. Maybe the coffee is good, but I never try. Sorry

1st we stay almost 3 days but they never change the bedding. 2nd the television is have a problem when you 1st time to turn on the sounds is like a firework. For us its not a big issue but if you can fix, much better. We use hot water if you can improved to put another water dispenser maybe at the 3rd Flor or 5th so its much easier to get some water. Only that. Thank you.

The picture of the hotel room in the booking apps is very different on actual room..

The room is not clean, and looks like old, only one towel.. the water on the faucet in the cr is yellowish..

Superb

The surrounding area and peaceful at night even with the wonderful New Year celebrations. Liked the proximity of the markets for street food and the fact that whilst the hotel is near a busy area it is still secluded enough.
